Posted by As many of you may know from my previous posts, I was on the struggle bus of after college job searching for a few months. I wanted to write an update about how things are going.
Currently, I have two part time jobs. I left my job at Perpetual Motion PR in order to gain more experience elsewhere with different clients. I found a freelance position with Sage Communications Partners, a PR firm focused on nonprofit organizations. Working with nonprofits has always been a passion of mine, in this new position I will be able to work with a variety of nonprofits. I also began working a retail job in order to make sure the student loans get paid. I am very happy working two part time jobs because I am still able to fit volunteering at Last Chance Ranch into my schedule.
I am a little disappointed I haven’t been able to find a full-time job. However, I am embracing these new opportunities and the flexible schedule. I am looking into possibly doing some freelance writing work as well. But this will depend on how busy all my current positions keep me.
I have learned life won’t always go the way you expect it to, no matter how hard you work. But I do believe everything happens for a reason and you should embrace the current moment while working towards a positive future.
