On April 9, 2016 Last Chance Ranch animal rescue held their annual Ties and Tails gala to raise money for their yearly budget. Last Chance Ranch (www.lastchanceranch.org) is a nonprofit located in Quakertown, PA. They rescue a variety of animals including, horses, pigs, ducks, goats, dogs, cats and many more. The goal of the event was to raise as much money as possible to provide care of as many abandoned, abused, and homeless animals possible.
The fundraising gala is their biggest fundraising event of the year and takes months of preparations. I was a member of the planning committee this year. It was a great hands-on experience of event planning and fundraising. I helped sell tickets, reach out to potential donors and sponsors, and I created a video to honor Dr. Sam Geller of Quakertown Vet. Dr. Geller goes above and beyond for the rescue to assist in the care of the animals.
The event was successful. There was dancing, drinking, and eating. Everyone was having a great time bidding on auction items and socializing. Last Chance Ranch raised over 25,000 dollars which will be put directly towards saving the lives of animals. I am very proud to be a part of such a wonderful community of animal lover and rescuers. If you are in the area of this lovely event next year, please consider attending. If not, you can simply donate or sponsor from afar.

I volunteer in the dog kennel at Last Chance Ranch. Here are a few of the dogs they have helped. If you are interested in getting involved or adopting a new best friend, please visit lastchanceranch.org
